Hull Active Schools Awards evening.

The Hull Active Schools Awards Evening will celebrate team and individual student achievements in primary, secondary and special schools from across the city of Hull.

The Awards Committee wish to invite schools and parents/carers to nominate schools, teams and individuals for each category.

Awards List

Teams of the Year (6 Awards)

  1. Key Stage 2 Male Team of the Year

  2. Key Stage 2 Female Team of the Year

  3. Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) Male Team of the Year

  4. Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) Female Team of the Year

  5. Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 and 11) Male Team of the Year

  6. Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 and 11) Female Team of the Year

Nominations are requested in each category for school sport teams who have achieved success in national competitions (e.g. reached the last 16 of a national competition) or achieved consistent success in local and county competitions.

Sportspeople of the Year (6 Awards)

  1. Key Stage 2 Sportsman of the Year

  2. Key Stage 2 Sportswoman of the Year

  3. Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) Sportsman of the Year

  4. Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) Sportswoman of the Year

  5. Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 and 11) Sportsman of the Year

  6. Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 and 11) Sportswoman of the Year

Nominations are requested in each category for individuals who have achieved success in regional or national competitions or achieved consistent success in local and county competitions.

Inclusion Sport Teams of the Year (3 Awards)

  1. Key Stage 2 Team of the Year

  2. Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) Team of the Year

  3. Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) Team of the Year

Nominations are requested in each category for school sport teams who have achieved success in national competitions or achieved consistent success in local and county competitions.

Inclusion Sportspeople of the Year (3 Awards)

  1. Key Stage 2 Sportsperson of the Year

  2. Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) Sportsperson of the Year

  3. Key Stage 4 (Years 7, 8 and 9) Sportsperson of the Year

Nominations are requested in each category for individuals who have achieved success in national competitions or achieved consistent success in local and county competitions or where participation in inclusion sport has made a real difference to their lives.

Sports Leaders of the Year (4 Awards)

  1. Key Stage 2 Sports Leader of the Year

  2. Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) Sports Leader of the Year

  3. Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 and 11) Sports Leader of the Year

  4. Key Stage 5 Sports Leader of the Year

  5. Key Stage 2 Inclusion Sports Leader of the Year

  6. Key Stage 3/4 Inclusion Sports Leader of the Year

Nominations are requested in each category for individuals who have dedicated numerous hours in a range of roles or sports to providing opportunities for others to take part in physical education and school sport.

School Sport Organising Crew/Committee of the Year (2 Awards)

  • School Sport Organising Crew of the Year (Primary)

  • School Sport Organising Committee of the Year (Secondary)

Nominations are requested in each category for a group of students who have dedicated numerous hours in a range of roles or sports to providing opportunities for others to take part in physical education and school sport.

Change4Life Club of the Year (1 Award)

Nominations are requested for a Change4Life Sports Club which has had a major positive impact on its students within the classroom and beyond.

Active School of the Year (2 Awards)

  1. Active Primary School of the Year

  2. Active Secondary School of the Year

Nominations are requested in each category for schools who have provided it’s students opportunities within it’s curricular and extra-curricular programmes and beyond to take part in 30 minutes of physical activity per day.

School Sport Lifetime Achievement Awards

Nominations are requested for members of staff who have dedicated many hours to providing students from within their own school and beyond hours and hours of school sport participation opportunities. Staff should have dedicated at least 15 years of service to school sport.
