BADMINTON SKILL CHALLENGE

How to Enter

Register your school on www.yourschoolgames.com (Contact Alex Sherwood if you need to reset your school login credentials). We’re also encouraging schools to engage parents/carers to record ‘At Home’ attempts!

All entries to be made before deadline: FRIDAY 11th December 2020

How to Play

  • Set up a playing area using a lowered net (mini-tennis net is OK, or even a gym bench) with enough space either side for 5 players.

  • Split a team of 10 players into 2 groups of 5 on opposing sides of the lowered net or bench.

  • Group 1 forms a line and takes it in turn to do a backhand serve over the net.

  • Group 2 spreads out on the opposing side of the net and tries to catch the shuttle with with their hands.

  • Teams are timed for 60 seconds, before swapping sides. A total score should be added together i.e if group 1 gets 8 catches and group 2 get 11 catches, your team score = 19

  • Set a 60 second timer using a stopwatch or phone.

How many catches can you make as a team in 120 seconds?
