At every opportunity we engage and work with local community sport clubs to establish positive school-community club links. Promoting a pathway from our events to further opportunities outside of school creates a culture of activity across the city of Hull.


Hull KR Community Trust

Hull Kingston Rovers Community Trust inspire people through sport and physical activity and deliver real and lasting benefits in terms of education, health and well being. They achieve this by working in schools, community clubs and communities across Hull and beyond. There is always lots of activity at the Trust so keep an eye out for our latest news which will keep you up to date with all the new and existing programs they are running.

In addition, Hull KR support the delivery of our secondary school girls rugby league competitions by providing the use of the facilities at KCOM Craven Park for event nights.

There is a community exit route for girls of secondary school age with a pathway into the women’s first team.

Hull FC Community Foundation

The Hull FC Community Foundation is the official charity of Hull FC and delivers a range of projects under the four key principles - Participation, Education, Health and Social Inclusion. As a registered charity, the Hull FC Foundation ensures that the club’s fantastic work in the local communities is further enhanced through local strategic partnerships within the public, private and voluntary sector.

In addition, Hull FC support the delivery of our secondary cup and trophy competitions by providing the use of the facilities at the Hull FC Elite Performance Centre on finals nights.

Yorkshire Cricket Board

The Yorkshire Cricket Board (YCB) is the governing body for recreational cricket in Yorkshire. We collaborate with YCB to deliver a series of festivals and competitions for all age ranges and abilities. This academic year, Inclusive Kwick Cricket is part of the county School Games pathway at both primary and secondary school level.

The YCB also provide direct support to schools through their Chance2Shine and All Stars Cricket Programs.

Tigers Trust

Providing sporting opportunities for the people of Hull and East Yorkshire, the Tigers Trust develop skills and confidence across a range of sports with the overall aim of increasing participation, especially amongst children and young people. The Tigers Trust has delivered the Premier League Kicks programme since 2010 and has since engaged with thousands of local young people to encourage them to play football and take part in positive activities to enable safer and more respectful communities. The sessions are completely free to attend and are for young people aged 8-18 years.


Hull Scorpions Baseball Club

Hull Scorpions Baseball and Softball Club are based at Scorpion Field, Alderman Kneeshaw Park, Hull. Hull Scorpions support the delivery of the annual Primary and Secondary Softball Championships.  In addition, they provide support to schools the delivery of the sport. The club believes that baseball and softball are a sport for the whole family to become involved in. They provide opportunities to play at all levels.


Hull Stingers Basketball Club

Hull Stingers Basketball Club have been developing talent in the city for over 50 years. All abilities are welcome at their community club sessions taking place at Kelvin Hall School. Coach Kelsey delivers the U11s Basketball League at Kelvin Hall School. His development league format encourages all abilities to play and develop their skills with Coach Kelsey providing expert coaching throughout..


PB Tennis

PB Tennis Coaching support Hull Active Schools in the delivery of the Primary Mini-Tennis competitions, which are part of the School Games pathway competitions, and secondary tennis competitions.

PB tennis is run by LTA accredited coach Pete Bridgwater who has over 10 years experience in tennis coaching working with all abilities and standards. They offer coaching to players of all ages and standards across a variety of options including group coaching, one to one coaching, holiday camps and competitions. 


Hull Futsal Club

A charter standard club who we are fortunate to collaborate with to deliver a series on primary and secondary school Futsal competitions and events throughout the academic year. Hull Futsal Clubs support and expert guidance to our school Futsal program has seen a dramatic growth in both events and school attendance over the last academic year. We are excited to continue to work with the club and build on our early success!


Launchpad Trampoline

Launchpad Trampoline Academy hosts the annual Hull Active Schools Primary, Secondary and Inclusion Trampolining Championships in May. Launchpad is a British Gymnastics approved club which provides trampolining, DMT and gymnastics for young people of all ages. Young people can come along to learn new skills, improve current skills, develop confidence and meet new friends. They offer the opportunity to progress through award schemes , join the competition pathway entering local, regional and national competitions. Alternatively, if you just wish to go along and bounce, you may do so. Everyone is welcome.


Hull Badminton Centre

The Hull Badminton Centre is the home of two badminton Clubs (Hull Badminton Club and Avenues Badminton Club). The Hull Badminton Centre hosts the Hull School Games Badminton England Key Stage 3 and 4 Boys and Girls Team Championships every November. In addition, they support the delivery of our primary timed team competition and racket pack festivals.


Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers

HALO support the delivery of the annual Hull Active Schools Primary and Secondary Orienteering Championships in May. The annual Championships are held at Costello Stadium and are part of the School Games pathway competition programme. The club is affiliated to the Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association and to British Orienteering. The objectives of the club are to further the development and increase participation in the sport of orienteering.


Sutton On Hull Cricket Club

Sutton on Hull Cricket Club have a long proud tradition in the city with its formation prior to 1872. Hull Active Schools enjoys an outstanding partnership with the club. Every year, we host the Hull School Games Secondary Inclusive Cricket Championships and the Hull Active Schools Under 13 Boys and Girls and Under 15 Boys and Girls Super 8’s Championships.


L&S Table Tennis Skills

L&S Table Tennis Club support the delivery of the Primary and Secondary Individual and Team Table Tennis Championships. In addition, they were a key driver in the formation of the Hull Active Schools Primary Table Tennis Leagues which take place every year.

They deliver table tennis in primary and secondary schools in the city through class, lunchtime and after school sessions. The club is now based at two venues in the west of the city - St Mary’s College and Ping Pong Club, Beverley Road, Hull.


Nuffield Tennis Academy

Nuffield Tennis Academy host our annual Mini-Tennis Championships for primary schools each academic year, plus an additional Inclusive Tennis Festival for KS2. The academy are also essential to hosting several of our large indoor Cricket events during the winter months which wouldn’t be possible without their facilities.

As well as their school support, the Nuffield Tennis Academy runs several group junior Tennis coaching sessions and their coaches also provide individual training.


Yorkshire Cricket Foundation

Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are pleased and proud to be starting the nationwide cricket scheme Wicketz funded by The Lords Taverners. Sessions are free and are targeted for children aged between 8 – 16 and all abilities.

City of Hull Rugby League Management Board

The City of Hull Rugby League Management Board has brought all parties to work collaboratively with an interest to develop the sport at every level. The group is comprised of representatives from the Rugby Football League, the two professional clubs and academies, local amateur rugby league clubs, schools, further education colleges, universities and referees society. The vision is for all parties to unite the city through the game of rugby league providing a consistently engaging product to grow the game. There will be high quality and sustainable development opportunities for adults and young people to participate in the sport. Hull Active Schools has worked with the group to develop a new schools rugby league development competition structure for primary schools with exit routes into the local community clubs.
