Tutor: Owen Denovan (Primary Steps in PE)

A one day practical course that uses the context of PE and sport alongside practical learning approaches to support the teaching of English across the school. During the course we will look at how to use physical activity in the teaching of phonics, SPAG and will provide ideas so that teachers can use sport to inspire high quality writing from Foundation up to Year 6. We will also look at how to create active spaces in your school and how to make your classroom an active environment.

Who should attend? This course is suitable for all qualified teachers. Ideally, you should send your literacy lead who can then disseminate information across the whole school. You are welcome to attend with more than one member of teaching staff
